Consignment Program

Below is our consignment contract starting 2025

Mad Tack will collect 25% commission on saddles (40% on all saddles under $1,000) and 40% on all other items.

All items are consigned for a period of 1 year (365 days from drop off date). There will be a $50 penalty fee for any items picked up within 60 days of drop off. Consigned items are available to be picked up by the Consignment account holder only and by appointment requiring a minimum 24-hour notice.

Items will be discounted 25% after 10 months, and 50% after 11 months. Consignors have 14 days to schedule an appointment to pick up unsold items at the conclusion of the contracted selling period, or they become the property of Mad Tack. If Mad Tack contacts the consignor for any reason to collect items, the consignor has 14 days to pick up items or they become property of Mad Tack. We will not be contacting consignors when contracts end due to the sheer number of accounts.

Mad Tack will price consigned items within Fair Market Value (FMV) based on current condition and demand.  Consignors signature is acceptance of pricing.  Mad Tack cannot guarantee or predict selling periods, and make no promise of sale.  Mad Tack has the right to refuse any items at any time for any reason.

Payment is by CHECK or STORE CREDIT ONLY (as designated by consignor).  Checks are mailed monthly. Consignors will be paid the month following the sale or once their account reaches a minimum of $50. Mad Tack does not pay consignors in cash or “on-demand” in person.  Payment is made to the consignment account holder ONLY.

We do not accept helmets, dry or brittle leather, and items that are deemed unsafe. Items that are brought in uncleaned will have a $20 per hour cleaning fee deducted from payout.

It is the responsibility of the consignor to update Mad Tack with any contact information changes.  There will be a $50 penalty fee for any cancelled or reprinted checks.

I understand that saddles are permitted to be taken out on five (5) day trials, and will be fully insured for this purpose. Consignors are advised that despite precautions, it is likely that your saddle will accrue some wear from trials or general shop use.

I will refrain from advertising consigned items privately, which includes through social media outlets and sales sites.

I am the legal and rightful owner of all items being consigned, and that I have full legal authority to sell these items.

Consignors shall indemnify, release, defend, and hold harmless forever Mad Tack, its officers, directors, employees, successors, and assigns from any and all claims and liabilities, arising from or connected to the consigned goods.  Mad Tack shall use all conventional safeguards in the handling and displaying of consigned goods, but holds no legal responsibility for items left on consignment.
